Saturday 21st June 2014

Cragg Vale ParkSign up for The Longest Choir in the World! Come and join Cragg Vale Community Association and abcd for a world record attempt at The Longest Choir in the World in Cragg Vale - home of The Longest Bunting in the World, and The Longest Cycle Ride on the Longest Day. Don't miss this unique event for community, choirs, and singers along part of the route of Le grand départ of the Tour de France.

Meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 21, 2014 (the longest day of the year) at Cragg Vale Park, Cragg Road under the direction of Olwyn Pearce, of Secret Singers Choir, Todmorden and choirs in East Lancs, then form The Longest Choir on the pavement along Cragg Road as cyclists from West Yorkshire revive, reminisce, and reach the top of the vale. Come and set a world record! Songs will be provided by email for choirs to learn ready for the day: rounds, and songs that fit together, so that the singing travels along the choir and up the hill. We are certain that no-one has attempted this event before, so why not join us on this special once-in-a-lifetime occasion? Location fully accessible by public transport, and on foot.
