The World Youth Choir brings together talented young singers aged 17 - 26 from all over the world, to its summer or winter sessions organized in different world countries, each year. Since its creation in 1989, the WYC has established itself as one of the most remarkable musical and intercultural experiences offered to young musicians, meeting annually for intense rehearsals followed by an international concert tour. Auditions 2012
abcd is coordinating the UK audition process for applicants who must be 17 to 26 years old on July 1st, 2012. Auditions will take place in London on Friday 20th January, email Kate Allen to register your interest kate.allen@abcd.org.uk

In advance of your audition you will need to submit the following documents: application form and cv (download links below), a copy of the first page of your passport, an ID photograph in jpeg format, a letter of motivation, maximum of 15 lines explaining why you wish to join the World Youth Choir.

The World Youth Choir session 2012 will be held in Cyprus from August 3rd to September 1st, 2012 (dates to be confirmed) thanks to the cooperation between the Foundation World Youth Choir and the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by the Cyprus presidency of the European Union (cultural events in 2012). The World Youth Choir will have a chance to perform a cappella and vocal-instrumental repertoire touring Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and surrounding countries.
