Billingshurst Choral Society
We are a well-established, friendly and mixed SATB choir of about one hundred voices based in Billingshurst, a country town in West Sussex. We meet on Tuesdays during term time in the Parish Church from 20:00 to 21:45. We are of mixed ability, although many of our members are very gifted musicians.
The choir is seeking a talented Accompanist from September 2012 who will accompany weekly rehearsals and play at some of our concerts – both with an orchestra and as a soloist. It would be a bonus, but not essential, if the successful applicant could direct the occasional rehearsal. The choir has recently sung in Carnegie Hall and The Lincoln Centre in New York, The Royal Festival Hall, and Chichester and Arundel Cathedrals. BCS has a wide-ranging repertoire, sacred and secular, old and new, and regularly works with a professional orchestra. Please see our website: www.billingshurstchoralsociety.org.
