Risca Male Choir is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented pianist to accompany the choir at its rehearsals and their concert engagements of which is approximately 20 engagements per year. The choir's current accompanist Julie Bevan will be retiring at the choir's 41st annual concert on the 19th of September 2015 after 26 years as the choir's accompanist. With outstanding keyboard skills, the successful candidate will have high musical standards to meet the demands of the wide ranging repertoire of the choir.
The choir rehearse twice a week at their headquarters St Mary Street Risca. Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings 6.00pm to 8.00 pm and Thursday evenings 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Selected candidates will be interviewed and shortlisted candidates will be asked to take part in one or more rehearsals (a rehearsal on either one of the rehearsal evenings). We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible to give the successful applicant the opportunity to work along side Julie before she retires.
