Our The Twelve masterclass series exploring major works in the choral repertoire finally returns, with an unmissable day delving into Elgar's great Oratorio, The Dream of Gerontius. Join the Chorus Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus, Neil Ferris, plus the Choral Director of the Hallé Choir, Matthew Hamilton, and members of the Hallé Choir, for a day which will include small group workshop time in the morning, then the opportunity to conduct the Hallé Choir in the afternoon.
Whether you are a choral conductor looking to expand your repertoire generally, are planning to perform Gerontius with your choir, or an orchestral conductor looking to learn more about working with a choir, this day will offer you in-depth learning and practical experience. Find out more about The Twelve here.
Participant places are now sold out! Observer places are still available for the afternoon only for anyone interested in this great work, whether it's new to you, you've conducted it many times, or you're a singer interested in learning more about its interpretation.
