About the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is in Renfrew Street, just behind Glasgow's famous Sauchiehall Street in the centre of this incredibly lively, gritty city. Scottish Opera the National Theatre of Scotland and Scottish Ballet are just a few streets away. With some of the finest musical facilities in Europe as well as an excellent café bar, the Conservatoire is an ideal location to host abcd's Convention. Our sessions, exhibtion and gala concert will all be held here, along with daytime refreshments and meals.

The RCS is a national and international centre of excellence for performing arts education. Built in 1847 as a national academy of music, it is now one of the world's most multi-disciplinary conservatoires, offering specialised and intensive teaching in dance, drama, music, production and screen. Currently, more than 1000 students are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at RCS and it also teaches over 2000 part-time learners each year through its Junior Conservatoire and Lifelong Learning department.
