Southbank Centre's Voicelab is inviting choirs to be part of their 2013 Chorus festival and help launch their summer-long Festival of Neighbourhood with MasterCard.
During the weekend Southbank Centre intends to hand its 21 acres over to choirs and singers to congregate, learn, perform and share, starting with a massed sing of 'Jerusalem' (and a couple of other familiar gems) to open the festival at 1pm on the Saturday.
How can your choir be involved?
To register your choir's interest, please email voicelab@southbankcentre.co.uk, with 'Chorus Choir' in the subject title.
Individual singers can take part in a range of workshops, lasting from two hours to a whole day. Spread across the three days, and booked in advance, they are led by top vocal leaders including Mary King, Tim Rhys Evans, Chris Rowbury and Pete Churchill. At the end of each day, there's the chance to join a free massed rehearsal and perform as part of the end-of-day Showcase.
