ABRSM, the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music, is leading a research project, supported by a number of key organisations across the music education sector. It seeks to identify the key challenges facing both teachers and learners today, whilst looking back at how the UK music education landscape has changed over the past 20 years.
Partners on this project include Trinity College London, Music Mark, Heads of Instrumental Teaching Scotland, the Incorporated Society of Musicians, the Musicians Union, musicteachers.co.uk, CAGAC and Youth Music. The report will be published later this year.
This research is the largest targeted campaign of its kind to date and the ABRSM is keen to hear your views. All those taking part in the survey will be entered into a prize draw and have the chance of winning up to £250 in Amazon vouchers!
Given that this is a syndicated piece of research, however, you may have already been invited to participate in the survey by one of ABRSM's partnering organisations. If so, you can disregard this email.
Please note that you will need to complete the online survey before Monday 2 June 2014.
Critical Research has been commissioned by ABRSM to carry out this survey. Critical Research is a bona-fide research company and abides by the Market Research Society's code of conduct. Your feedback will remain strictly confidential and responses will not be attributed to any individual respondent. If you require further information, please contact Simon Hume at abrsm@criticalsurveys.co.uk
The survey should take around 15-20 minutes to complete, depending on the answers you give.
