Applications open for Genesis Sixteen

Applications for The Sixteen's leading choral training scheme 'Genesis Sixteen' are once again open. The scheme aims to give singers aged between 18 and 23 the opportunity to work with world-class conductors and choral singers.

Over the course of a year the choir take part in four residential courses in the UK, involving group rehearsals, smaller consort ensembles and individual training from some of the country's top vocal coaches. In addition to their musical training they receive advice on business skills, marketing, finance and networking.

There are 22 places available for young singers aged between 18 and 23. In order to qualify you must be aged between 18 and 23 on 22 August 2016, be resident in the UK, receive regular singing lessons and be free for all the course dates without exception.

The closing date for all applications is Friday 15 January 2016 at 6pm.
