Worcester Male Voice Choir are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Musial Director who can maximise the potential of the Choir and continue to pursue excellence in male voice choral singing, when our present MD retires at the end of September 2018.
We are a progressive and exciting Midlands-based choir performing at least 12 concerts a year both locally and on tours at home and abroad from a repertoire of over 150 pieces. Having raised £200,000 since our formation in 1987, the Choir has supported local and national charities including St. Richard's Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance and Cancer Research and in 2011 the Choir itself achieved charitable status.
Rehearsing at the Angel Centre, Worcester on Monday and Wednesday evenings, to assist the MD, Choir administration is provided through a Main Committee and Music Sub-Committee selected from the more than 70 choristers.
The position attracts an honorarium, paid annually, reflecting experience, qualifications and experience.
