The Edinburgh International Festival seeks expressions of interest from world class directors to succeed Christopher Bell as Chorus Director of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus.

The Edinburgh Festival Chorus has been at the heart of the International Festival since its foundation in 1965 and performs a number of programmes each year with some of the finest international orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic. Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and Filarmonica Della Scala and conductors including Sir Andrew Davis, Valery Gergiev, Sir Antonio Pappano and Riccardo Chailly.

The current rehearsal schedule has regular weekly rehearsals held in Edinburgh during the winter (October - May), a shorter Spring augmenter group in Glasgow on a Thursday evening (January - April) plus additional intensive weekend rehearsals in the period immediately before the Festival.

The position is offered for an initial 3 year term.
