St. Nicholas Church Shepperton (stnicholaschurch-shepperton.org) seeks a Director of Music, with Organist skills, able to lead Christian worship sympathetically and with a familiarity with Anglican traditions. She/He will be overall responsible for the musical life of the Church. This entails conducting Sunday services of a weekly Sung Eucharist and monthly Choral Evensong (or playing organ in the absence of our principal Organist). Piano/Keyboard at the 11:15am Alternative Worship service, which takes place weekly on Sundays in term time. The role includes leading and developing our robed SATB choir (10-15 members) and supporting other musicians. We are located to the West of London (Kensington Episcopal Area of the London Diocese) and have a rich musical tradition. There are exciting opportunities for development and outreach, including with the local Church of England Primary School.
