Rehearsal Accompanist

The Swale Singers are looking for a rehearsal accompanist to start in September 2018. We have just appointed a new conductor and hope to find a pianist who will help take the choir forward into the next exciting phase in our development. We are seeking a pianist who is capable, experienced and enthusiastic and who can bring their musicianship and ability to add focus and lustre to both our rehearsals and our performances. We are a choir of some forty members mostly from Swaledale and Wensleydale. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons from 3pm – 5pm in Low Row in the heart of Swaledale and we meet from September through to June each year with a break in January. Our concerts embrace music from the sixteenth century to the present day and from a substantial mainstream repertoire to the relatively unexplored.

We give concerts in churches, chapels and village halls throughout Swaledale and Wensleydale and we have sung in the Swaledale Festival since 1994.  Fee by negotiation.  Please send your details to swalesingers@swaledale.org.
