Hertford Choral Society is looking to recruit an accompanist from the start of the 2018/19 season as the current post-holder is relocating away from Hertfordshire.
The choir is a community group with over 130 members, regularly performing four concerts each season, usually at All Saints, Hertford, with professional soloists and musicians. Our programmes include a wide range of music from renaissance to contemporary, both sacred and secular, usually with professional orchestras/groups and soloists, created and led by Musical Director, Derek Harrison.
We rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings at Sele School, Hertford, and usually have a Saturday workshop once in the season.
We wish to continue the experience, which we have enjoyed for a long time, of having a high-quality, professional accompanist for our rehearsals to provide support to both choir and conductor, and to become a member of the HCS team. There is the possibility of playing in the concerts on invitation, for which a separate fee is payable.
