Urgently required, Musical Director/Conductor for 40+ SATB in Troon, South Ayrshire.
The ideal candidate will be a young under-graduate who wishes to develop his career in conducting by gaining the experience that directing a community choir involves. He/she will source and bring to the choir repertoire that gives the choir a broad appeal, from the West end stage to Gilbert & Sullivan, Mozart, Verdi etc. He/she will be expected to have the skills to encourage, enthuse and help choir members in order to get the best possible sound from the choir.
We are also prepared to consider the more mature individual who has an interesting background in working with choirs over many years.
