Conductor

Scotland

Organisation: Dingwall Gaelic Choir

Dingwall Gaelic Choir is a well-established group of thirty-five members and competes annually at the Royal National Mòd in a variety of competitions. The choir is looking to appoint a new conductor to take it forward in competition and performance.

The successful applicant will have a strong musical ability and preferably have experience of choral conducting. The ability to speak Gaelic would be an advantage, but isn't essential. The ability to work collaboratively with the choir committee, Assistant Conductor and Gaelic tutors is also desirable.

The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings with some additional Saturday workshops throughout the year and performs locally at various concerts and events.

Remuneration is by honorarium agreed annually by the choir.

If you feel that this is a role you may be interested in, please apply by email to the secretary at info@dingwallgaelicchoir with a full CV and personal statement. Applicants may be required to participate in a short audition rehearsal with the choir.

Closing date: Friday 15 March 2019
