Our current MD is leaving us due to personal circumstances, and we are therefore unexpectedly seeking a dynamic new MD, ideally from January.
We are a well-established non-auditioning SATB choir of 60 -70 singers, normally performing two concerts a year, although currently three are planned for 2020, in April, June and early December. We usually sing the classical repertoire, but we also enjoy new challenges; we have performed two World Premieres in recent years.
We are looking for someone who will continue with energy and enthusiasm to build on the work of our current MD in improving the quality of the choir's sound and enhancing our enjoyment of singing.
Rehearsals, with a professional accompanist, take place on Tuesdays in Warminster. Please refer to our website, www.athenaeumsingers.com, for further information about the choir.
