Belper Singers is a friendly, experienced SATB choir of around 30 voices, most of whom live in or near Belper. We enjoy singing a cappella and accompanied music from 16th to 21st centuries. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced director who will continue to develop our musical and vocal skills. We are not afraid of trying new works and have recently performed Waternight and Cloudburst by Eric Whitacre and the Lauridsen Nocturnes. Our next concert includes Mozart's Requiem, accompanied by piano duet. The choir performs three main concerts a year and supports local events too. We sing in venues around Derbyshire including churches, arts centres and historic buildings such as Haddon Hall. We have sung evensong in a number of cathedrals including Birmingham and Southwell Minster.
