Music Director

East

Organisation: Aldeburgh Music Club Choir

Aldeburgh Music Club is a mixed voice, non-auditioned choir of c.90 members who meet to rehearse in Aldeburgh on Tuesday evenings during academic term times (including half terms) and perform three concerts a year, customarily held at either Snape Maltings Concert Hall (November and March) or Orford Church (May), to a high standard with (as required by repertoire/programme) professional soloists and orchestral players.

The choir is seeking applications from suitably qualified choral conductors with experience of conducting choir and orchestra in performance. The position will commence in August 2020 following the retirement of its current conductor/musical director who has been in post for the last 13 years. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and enthusiasm are required, as is the skill to motivate and develop amateur singers of mixed ability.
