Cirencester Male Voice Choir Are Looking For A New Accompanist to start in January 2020 or earlier, if possible. The successful candidate will work closely with our Musical Director, Jules Addison, and may also be required to take sectional rehearsals from time to time as well as stepping in to run rehearsals if required. The choir meets weekly to rehearse every Monday evening (7.30pm - 9.15pm) in the Parish Church of St John Baptist, Cirencester. The church has a new and very well maintained Yamaha Concert Grand Piano which is used for rehearsals. Cirencester MVC is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary and has a busy programme of concerts and events already planned for 2020. These include concerts at the Parish Church in Cirencester & venues in Gloucestershire / Wiltshire as well as a tour to Nottingham in June 2020. The choir aims to put on 4 main concerts a year plus approx half a dozen less formal events at different venues around Cirencester and the locality.

The successful candidate should play the piano to at least Grade 8 standard or equivalent. Previous experience as a choir accompanist would be a significant advantage. This is a paid position (on a self employed basis).

In the first instance please apply with details of your experience to the secretary of CMVC at secretary@cirencestermvc.co.uk
