Horsham Chamber Choir is looking for a new Musical Director with effect from September 2020, as Jenny Hansell is retiring after 10 very successful years with the choir.
HCC is a mixed choir of about 30 members with a good balance between SATB. The choir performs a very wide-ranging repertoire including a cappella and early music.
Our new Musical Director will share our ambition and enthusiasm, develop our musicianship, and build on the high standards that underpin the choir's reputation for excellence.
Weekly rehearsals are held at St Leonard's Church, Horsham on Thursday evenings in term-time from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm between September and June.
The concert programme consists of one performance each term and a Christmas Concert together with occasional tours, cathedral weekends and 'one-off' events.
The current practice for remuneration is based on an annual retainer, fixed concert fees, and travel expenses where appropriate.
