Director of Music

London & South East

Organisation: Ealing Choral Society

Ealing Choral Society, one of London's leading amateur choirs, is seeking to appoint a new Director of Music to succeed Jonathan Williams, who will be stepping down after 12 highly successful years.

The choir, an auditioned group of around 80 singers, enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its concerts, working with professional orchestras and soloists, performing sacred and secular music from Baroque to the present day.

As well as giving 3 main concerts each year in Ealing and central London the choir also performs an annual carol concert in support of a local charity and takes part in the wider cultural life of the local community.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings in a comfortable hall near Ealing Broadway.

The successful candidate will be a talented and experienced Director of Music with the vision, commitment and enthusiasm to take this thriving choir forward. He or she will have excellent vocal coaching skills, a personable manner, and be able to maintain the group's sense of community and enjoyment of music-making. The Director will work with the choir, professional orchestras and soloists to produce performances of the highest standard.
