InChorus is seeking a new Musical Director owing to the relocation of their current MD.
InChorus is an established SSAATTBB choir of around 70 auditioned members who love to sing all kinds of contemporary music, mainly a capella, from rock and pop to modern classical. The choir is based in Peebles in the Scottish Borders where it enjoys enthusiastic support from the local community. It is well travelled, enjoying a wide range of events from concert halls and festivals to weddings and smaller performances. A charity itself, InChorus has raised many tens of thousands of pounds for other charities.
InChorus is a dedicated and disciplined choir which has worked hard to achieve and maintain the reputation it has earned for vibrant accomplished performances. They have worked with various notable vocal coaches and arrangers. In addition they are known as a caring, warm-hearted, fun-loving and welcoming group.
InChorus has ambitious plans for the future to ensure that it continues to develop and improve, and is seeking a Musical Director with experience of leading adult groups who will assist in advancing the choir's aspirations. This person will have all the attributes to achieve this in terms of musical ability and communication skills. He or she will have a flair for creativity and a sense of adventure.
The new MD will have the back up of established leadership from the choir committee and section leaders. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings.
