Our friendly choir of about 80 singers needs an accompanist with appropriate skills and experience in accompanying and playing all kinds of choral music, to start in September, and it would be useful if the successful candidate was also an organist and/or could share split rehearsals. We rehearse on Monday evenings and perform 3 or 4 concerts a year, plus an annual workshop and various Civic and festive events, so living within reasonable travelling distance is desirable. We often collaborate with other local choirs and include children and young musicians where appropriate. Our MD is Andrew Hayman, who is also a tenor soloist, lay clerk and music teacher.
Fees are £80 per rehearsal, and concert fees are by negotiation, depending on the work required.
