Cirencester Male Voice Choir is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director with the role to begin as soon as possible.
The choir, of around 30 singers, enjoys a good reputation for the quality of its performance. Our music ranges from the religious to modern classics and our aims are to enjoy singing and to raise funds for local charities. We are keen to collaborate with other choirs and musical groups from far and wide.
The successful candidate will have a positive disposition and good vocal coaching skills as well as a wide knowledge of varied genres of music that will allow a diverse selection of works for our performances.
While some of our members are unable to read music fully and rely on rehearsal and practise tracks to reach the required standards, we do take our singing seriously and are prepared to work hard to achieve the best results. We have performed everywhere from village halls to the Royal Albert Hall and hope to attend the International Male Choral Festival in Cornwall in May 2022.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a group in which friendliness and enthusiasm are key and who will enjoy helping us improve on the good standards achieved in recent years to produce performances that inspire and entertain audiences.
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings in Cirencester.
