Cantique, a small, mixed, adult chamber choir, is looking for a new musical director.
Cantique is based in the Farnham/Tilford/Alton area and its main objective is to raise money for charities and good causes, providing concerts free of charge, generally, but not exclusively, around the Hampshire/Surrey border.
In its 25 years, members have included scientists, music graduates, teachers, music teachers, composers and even a judge. All are competent singers and musicians drawn together by a common love of singing and music making.
Cantique has a large music library and the repertoire varies from light to serious, from comic to tragic, from sacred to secular and from the very ancient to very modern. The choir sings mostly a capella music and normally rehearses fortnightly on Monday evenings for 2 hours.
