Ramsey Choral Society is a mixed SATB choir of approximately 30 members.
Are you enthusiastic, inspirational and looking to take us on our next music-making journey? If so we would very much like to hear from you.
We are an enthusiastic, ambitious and friendly community choir who are aiming to build on what we've achieved with our current MD.
As our MD we would look for you to:
* Prepare and lead rehearsals and ready the choir for public performances.
* Choose the music for us, with input from the committee and choir members
* Raise/maintain a high standard and teach best practice and techniques, whilst encouraging the less confident as some of our members are non music readers.
* The successful candidate will have a positive disposition and good vocal coaching skills as well as a wide knowledge of varied genres of music that will allow a diverse selection of work for our performances.
Commitments:
* A 2 hour rehearsal in Ramsey each week during term times (currently Thursday 7:30 - 9:30 pm).
* Performances in the local area.
* The committee meets 6 times per year and the MD is welcome to attend.
Remuneration:
A financial package is available.
