Conductor

Scotland

Organisation: Dingwall Gaelic Choir

Dingwall Gaelic Choir is a well-established group of approximately 30 members which competes annually at the National Mòd in a variety of competitions. The choir is looking to appoint a new Conductor to take it forward in competition and performance as it approaches its 70th Anniversary in 2024.

The successful applicant will have strong musical capabilities and preferably some experience of choral conducting. The ability to speak Gaelic would be an advantage, but it isn't a requirement. The ability to work collaboratively with the choir committee, Assistant Conductor, and Gaelic tutors is essential.

The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings with some additional Saturday workshops throughout the year and performs locally at various concerts and events. Remuneration is by honorarium agreed annually by choir members.

If you feel that this is a role you may be interested in, please apply by email to the secretary at info@dingwallgaelicchoir.co.uk with a CV and personal statement.
