We are a non-auditioned Community Choir, based in Ramsey, Cambs, a mixed SATB choir with around 30 members singing a repertoire suitable for a small choral society with lighter music interspersed. We rehearse on Thursday evenings, during term times, from 19:30 until 21:30. The choir performs 3 concerts a year.
We are looking for an outstanding Accompanist to support our Musical Director and Choir at rehearsals. The Accompanist will need an excellent level of sight-reading skills as during rehearsals they will be asked to play individual parts for learning purposes. Previous experience of accompanying a choir would be an advantage.
A fees package is negotiable.
We are excited to have recently appointed Simon Berridge as our Musical Director. Simon was a choral scholar at Cambridge, then a member of the BBC Singers and for the last 31 years a tenor with The Sixteen, one of the world's most renowned choirs, also singing as a soloist and in ensembles all over the world.
