Coro Nuovo's aim is to be one of Sussex's premier choirs and we are seeing a Music Director who can take us on the next stage of this journey. We are an occasional choir, coming together for concerts in the Spring, Summer and Christmas with typically four or five rehearsals per concert. The choir consists of around 40 singers; several of whom are semi-professional musicians. See: https://coronuovo.org.uk/about/ We also run an annual programme - the Sussex Young Musician of the Year competition - which offers a bursary for musicians in the age range 18-26 who are planning to pursue a career in music. The ideal candidate for the Coro Nuovo position will have experience and strong abilities in the following areas:

• Challenging and teaching the choir to develop their singing and performance
• Planning repertoires which will appeal to both choir members and audiences
• Interested in and supportive of developing the next generation of professional musicians
• Great organisational skills and making best use of the choir's rehearsal time
• A good sense of humour
