Glass Ensemble is seeking to appoint a new musical director from September 2022.
We are an auditioned upper voice chamber choir who love singing together. We set ourselves high standards, exploring a wide repertoire from Renaissance motets to 21st century compositions.
We are looking for an inspirational musical director who will challenge and develop us, and seek out innovative programmes for our combination of voices. We expect our new MD to build on the choir's past successes and to help Glass Ensemble continue to flourish.
We perform in venues across Berkshire including Douai Abbey and South Hill Park Arts Centre. Concert highlights have included participation in the Brandenburg Festival in London and performing the UK premiere of David Lang's Love Fail. Alongside classical repertoire we have collaborated with folk musicians, harpists, lutenists and have enjoyed exploring music from around the world.
