Salvatorian College is a high-performing secondary academy for boys in Harrow, London. The College moved into brand new, state-of-the-art premises in September 2019. Our results place us in the top 300 schools in the country for pupil progress. 

Salvatorian College is growing rapidly and wishes to seize a golden opportunity to create a culture of singing and choral excellence.

Consequently, the College is seeking to appoint a talented, ambitious, and inspirational musician and teacher, who can communicate to young people a passion and enthusiasm for singing. The Head of Vocal & Choral Music will nurture the talents of pupils of all abilities through inspirational coaching and teaching.

The Head of Vocal & Choral Music will form and direct a 'Schola Cantorum' to sing at school liturgies, as well as other ensembles formed at their discretion. The Head of Vocal & Choral Music will explore opportunities for the Schola Cantorum to perform outside of the school context.

This is a part-time, term time only appointment with the possibility of progressing to full time in the coming years.

The full-time equivalent salary is £39,000-£43,000 and the actual part-time salary is £5,800-£6,400. An additional allowance may be availalbe for an experienced candidate. The post includes access to the Local Government Pension Scheme with an employer contribution of up to 20%.
