Webinars

As the current situation with coronavirus has stopped our face-to-face training and networking events, abcd has been running a series of webinars since the beginning of May. Each Saturday, we host forum discussions and lectures led by our team of tutors and special guests on a wide range of choral topics. Further details about the webinar series, and how to book a place, can be found here.

If you miss the live webinars, a public recording is available for one week on our YouTube channel. Last Saturday's webinar (27th June - Singing our Lives: A social justice choral project with Jeremy Haneman) is available to watch here.

After one week, webinar videos will then be saved as a member-only resource, which will be accessible at the links below:

On the 30th May, we hosted a webinar on The changing face of choirs: adapting to Covid-19. As this webinar is of such great importance to the choral community at this time, abcd have made the decision to keep this webinar publicly accessible on YouTube here.

Additional resources following on from the 30th May webinar: Professor Ashley has put together an information sheet about choirs and aerosols which can be found here. On 4th June 2020, abcd published a research paper on the impact of the COVID-19 virus on choral activity in the UK. Find out more here.

Can you support us?

We hope that you find these new online resources useful and informative! Over the coming months, these resources will be developed and added to, and we hope that this Resource Bank will form a useful glossary of information for all choral leaders. However in light of the ongoing situation with coronavirus and the immediate postponement of our Spring training programme and annual Choral Leaders' Festival abcd, like many other charitable arts organisations, faces a difficult few months. If you feel able to make a donation to help sustain the abcd community of staff and conductor tutors and to support the creation of innovative online resources, we would encourage you to do so here.
