Young Conductors' Programme

A fantastic opportunity for young people to work alongside peers and concentrate on the practical aspects of choir training, conducting and rehearsal techniques. abcd's unique course offers a dynamic and fresh approach for those considering further training or employment in singing leadership.

Encouraging young vocal leaders aged 18-25

The courses are open to all aged 18-25 not earning their living from conducting. No previous conducting experience is necessary, but participants are required to read music, and should have instrumental or singing technique and experience. The courses are also suitable for those who would like to develop their conducting and vocal technique or have some experience in leading choral music.

The programme includes one day events and also our annual residential Young Conductors' Course, which runs in parallel with our Annual Choral Leaders' Festival.
