Conducting Observer Day
10am - 5pm, St Gabriel's Halls, Pimlico, London

Join us for our first in-person event! Observe an abcd conducting course in action to help you refresh your conducting technique and rehearsal skills.

Observe abcd tutors Sarah Tenant-Flowers and Amy Bebbington teaching an Emerging-Progressive course, participate in the conducting technique and plenary discussion sessions and sing for the Emerging-Progressive cohort of conductors.

  • Saturday 16 October, 11am - 12.30pm: Building Voices series: Two Sides of the Atlantic with Professor Martin Ashley and Patrick Freer, Professor of Music at Georgia State University and former Visiting Professor at the Universit├Ąt Mozarteum Salzburg.
  • Saturday 13 November, 4pm - 5.30pm: Giving Voice to my Music with David Wordsworth and Leslie East. David and Leslie talk to two leading choral composers about their inspirations, their passions and the challenges they have faced in working through the pandemic.
  • 4 or 11 December, 11am - 12.30pm (date tbc): Vocal care and health through the winter concert season. After the long break and the first term back, practical ideas to help your singers make it through to the concert!
