Choral Conducting Masterclass with Amy Bebbington

Saturday 27th May 2017

27th May, 10am - 4pm

abcd's new Director of Training Dr. Amy Bebbington leads an Intermediate level masterclass for those wanting to take their choral conducting skills to the next level. Repertoire will include works by Gjeilo, Esenvalds, Lauridsen, Durufle, Faure, Mozart and Brahms.

Amy has a natural gift for drawing out the greatest potential from students in a very engaging and encouraging manner. Members from Amy's regular choirs will combine to form and very competent and friendly choir whose ethos will be to work hard, be supportive and "sing what they see"

This will be a fantastic opportunity to get a good length of valuable podium time with some really responsive singers and to observe Amy working with other conductors too.

Brancepeth Castle is a truly awe-inspiring place to visit. We will be working in the ballroom during the day, and there will be opportunity to explore the castle and its grounds. Overnight stays are also possible - check on their website www.brancepethcastle.org.uk.

Lunch (homemade soup, bread, cheese and salads) and light refreshments will be provided. Early booking is essential as numbers will be limited.

Price: £70 (observers £20)

To reserve your place, please contact Amy directly via email or on 01438 493278/07722 144808.
