St Cecilia Chorus, a friendly, amateur SATB chorus based in Banstead, Surrey is looking for a Conductor/Music Director. St Cecilia Chorus is an auditioned choir, singing choral music ranging from the sixteenth century to the modern day. We perform four concerts a year in and around the Banstead area accompanied by professional soloists and musicians. Rehearsals are on Thursdays 19:45 to 21:45. The choir occasionally also performs abroad, mainly in Europe.
We are looking for someone to start in September 2017 or January 2018 and who can demonstrate their ability with regard to:
Inspirational and enthusiastic music direction to produce the highest possible standards
Artistic directorship
Working closely with the Chair and Committee
Sourcing and selecting relevant professional soloists and musicians.
