Organisation: Edward Said National Conservatory of Music

The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine is recruiting for a new position: Choirs and Vocal Leader.

We are looking for someone inspirational and motivating to help us build on our choir programme for children ages 7-22 as we strive to integrate singing more into both the academic structure and performance life of the school. 

Applicants should be passionate about bringing musical awareness to a community, developing a love of music and enjoyment of playing and inspiring young people. They should be able to utilise a wide-range of international repertoire suitable for training young students. They should be able to instill good vocal technique as well as work with ear-development within a fun and engaging context. Teaching is in English or Arabic.

This is a full time teaching position, encompassing 22 hours teaching per week, plus office hours and academic work / preparation. The position starts 1st September 2018, based in Palestine. We offer a competitive local salary of 5200 NIS (Roughly $1400 US subject to exchange rate) per month, return flight, health insurance and visa costs. Initially a 9 month contract, open to extension.
