The Musical Director of Cardiff Male Choir is stepping down after 8 years' service. We are therefore seeking a replacement as soon as possible.
We are a choir of just over 40 members and the choir has been in existence for 120 years. We rehearse each Wednesday evening in Whitchurch Rugby Sports & Social Club. We are a busy but not competitive choir and perform at numerous weddings, charity events, corporate occasions and concerts. Our repertoire is diverse and ranges from traditional Welsh hymns, through spirituals, musicals to more modern popular songs.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and charismatic musical director to take the choir forward. The ideal candidate will have excellent musical knowledge and expertise with previous experience of conducting a male voice choir. A knowledge of Welsh would be an advantage but not essential.
