Toccata Ladies Choir is looking for a new musical director. We are an award winning ladies choir based in Livingston, West Lothian. The choir consists of over 50 members of all ages and musical abilities, brought together by their love and passion for singing and performing.
We perform our annual concert over two nights at Howden park Centre, Livingston. We also perform at various smaller concerts throughout our choir year as well as taking part in any choral festivals or competitions that we can (having previously won the Glasgow Orpheus Trophy on two occasions).
We sing a wide variety of choral music, from classical to popular; religious to secular; straightforward to very challenging. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening during school term time in Livingston United Parish Church from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
We are seeking a new energetic and inspiring Musical Director who will be an accomplished choral conductor with a wide knowledge of repertoire, and someone who will share our ambition to further develop our singing and performance skills. Our current MD will be stepping down in May 2020 therefore the position will be available from August 2020 however, we would like to invite the new MD to work alongside our current MD for a period during the 2019 term.
We also would welcome anyone interested in applying to come along and listen in on a Tuesday night when we start our new session in August 2019.
