The Parish of St James's is a thriving Catholic parish within the Church of England serving the people of Clacton-on-Sea. We are looking for a suitably qualified person to help us realise our plans for our choir and work alongside our organist. Our existing choir is voluntary, rehearses on Friday evenings and sings for our Sunday morning service, major festivals and the occasional evensong. We are looking to develop the RSCM Voice for Life scheme and move towards providing musical scholarships for young people in this deprived area through a newly established youth choir. This is a self-employed position with remuneration in line with RSCM guidelines at around £3,500 per anum, dependent on the the candidate.
