Bricket Wood Community Choir is looking for an enthusiastic Musical Director / Conductor to take over the choir from September 2020.
The choir is around 55 strong with very mixed abilities. We sing a wide range of music including musicals, songs from films, gospel songs, popular songs and even a bit of classical music.
The current MD also acts as accompanist, though there has been a separate accompanist in the past, so either an MD who can accompany or who can bring in a separate accompanist would be considered. A salary will be offered commensurate on experience.
Bricket Wood Community Choir is a well-established group based just outside St Albans. The choir meets on Tuesdays in term-time in the local church, from 7.30-9.15pm. It has become a very important part of village life and has an ethos of inclusivity and fun above all. The choir like to raise money for charity at their annual summer concert and enjoy occasional social events throughout the year.
