Musical Director

Organisation: de Merc Chamber Choir

The de Merc Chamber Choir, Harlow's leading small vocal ensemble, is seeking a new and enthusiastic Musical Director after four very successful and happy years under the directorship of Alison Fisher. The choir performs five to six concerts a year (principally around Essex), as well as singing for occasional weddings and other special events or services. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings (approximating to academic term lengths) between 19:30 - 21:30 at St Mary at Latton Church Hall, The Gowers, First Avenue, Harlow, CM20 2JP.

A full job description can be downloaded from the Choir's website, or is available from the Secretary, Gillian Thompson, at

The closing date for applications is 15th October 2021. Applicants should email a covering letter and CV to the Choir Secretary outlining why they are interested in the post and detailing relevant experience.
