The Sitwell Singers, an auditioned choir established and well-regarded for 50 years, are looking to engage a new Conductor/Musical Director to continue the work of our late conductor Malcolm Goldring.

Currently an SSAATTBB group of about 32, we perform in cathedral, church stately home and halls in and around Derbyshire; our musical tastes range from early Renaissance to 21st century and avant-garde, single and double choir, a cappella and accompanied, sacred and secular (e.g. Tchaikovsky Motets, Taverner's Requiem Fragments, Richard `Rodney Bennett's Nonsense Poems and specially commissioned pieces)

Meeting during school terms (Monday evenings 7.45pm at St John's Church, Bridge Street, Derby, we give regular concerts, host a popular Come and Sing Day and invite outside professionals to take workshop events to broaden our musical horizons. We are working towards making the new appointment in 2022, currently rehearsing under our deputy conductor.

Interviews to be held initially by Zoom at the end of January 2022

If successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to take part of a rehearsal during early February 2022
