The Just Sing! Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir, based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with 35 members. We rehearse on Thursday evenings, during term times, from 19:00 until 21:00. The choir performs two major concerts a year, usually in June/July and December, as well as several other local events throughout the year. The choir is of mixed ability but we do perform music in four-part harmony. The type of music includes:
The choir is looking for an Accompanist to support the Musical Director and choir at rehearsals, as well as concerts. The Accompanist will need an excellent level of sight-reading skills, as during rehearsals, they will be asked to play individual parts for learning purposes.
Previous experience of accompanying a choir would be an advantage.
