Our Intermediate course is designed for those who have either successfully completed our Initial level of training or those who already have experience in leading a choir already. This newly updated course combines our previous Emerging and Progressive courses and includes both live and online tuition.

The course will develop and extend existing leadership skills, enabling you to prepare your choir with greater confidence. The course can be passed at two levels, Emerging or Progressive:

All venues are easily accessible by public transport. St Gabriel's Church and St Gabriel's Halls are both near Victoria mainline station and between Victoria and Pimlico tube stations. St Andrew's Church is located close to Waterloo mainline station and tube station.

We ask conductors to pay a £100 deposit to secure their booking. The rest of the course balance can then be paid in instalments, after discussion with our Training Manager,Elisabeth Brierley.

Bursaries are available for this course: see here for further details. We offer bursaries to conductors aged 18 - 25 and to all conductors who lead young voices.

How to apply

Conductors who wish to apply should complete a short application form and submit a short video of themselves leading a choir. Please read our video requirements here and watch our short demonstration application video for the Emerging course here and the Progressive course here.
