Campaign to save Yorkshire Music and Drama library collection update
The campaign to overturn the decision to close one of the most important national collections of music in the UK is continuing, with over 2,500 emails and letters of protest received by YLI and an extended period of consultation being agreed.

World Youth Choir 2012
The World Youth Choir is a fantastic organisation organised jointly by the IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music), Jeunesse Musicales and the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat. The World Youth Choir session 2012 will be held in Cyprus from August 3rd to September 1st, 2012. abcd will be organising auditions in the UK for January 2012.

Nominations open for Excellence Awards for Music Libraries
The International Association of Music Librarians (UK and Irl) has announced the launch of its 2012 Excellence Award for Music Libraries. The aim of the Award is to highlight and celebrate all the good work that goes on in music libraries from supporting research to providing sets of scores for choral and orchestral societies. It's open to all music libraries no matter what their sector, size or type.

Our app WellRehearsed is available to download from both the Google and Apple stores. WellRehearsed is a joint initiative between abcd and Making Music. Join us for our Virtual Choral Leaders' Festival!
Our dedicated Festival website is up and running! Join us for workshops, webinars, our virtual exhibition and networking with colleagues and presenters from the UK and around the world, as we all plan our safe return to singing. This second online Festival is our 36th Annual Convention, during which time we have welcomed choirs and conductors from across the world to share their knowledge with us, and this year is no exception.

Guidance for step 4 has been published for people who work in settings related to events & visitor attractions or organise events in a workplace, including non-professionals. We understand that this replaces the previous performing arts guidance, which will no longer be published separately.
