Choral Composition Competition announced
The Fourth Choir is holding an international choral composition competition to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of £1000 and the winning composition will be premièred by the choir at a Memorial Concert on 23 April 2016 in London’s historic Middle Temple Hall.

Applications for The Sixteen’s leading choral training scheme 'Genesis Sixteen' are once again open. The scheme aims to give singers aged between 18 and 23 the opportunity to work with world-class conductors and choral singers.

abcd's Director of Training Amy Bebbington leads an Intermediate level masterclass at Brancepth Castle, Durham on 22 June. A great opportunity to get a good length of valuable podium time with some really responsive singers and to observe Amy working with other conductors too.

Our 34th Annual Convention has been expanded and developed into our new festival, with a day longer to fit everything in too! We have more plenary sessions, including keynote addresses and opportunities for both singing and hearing singing together, as well as lots of useful workshops sessions, our trade exhibition and three conducting courses. It all takes place at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the heart of one of the UK's biggest cultural centres from 22-25 August.
