We have a limited number of bursaries available for our annual residential course for Young Conductors.
Led by Amy Bebbington, this practical and informal course runs in parallel with our Annual Convention from 23-25 August at Oxford Brookes University and is open to anyone between 18 and 25 not already earning their living from conducting.

- Invitation to singers to record new work for charity

Don Monro, the man behind The Really Big Chorus, is inviting singers to sign up to record a DVD of a work specially written by Jonathan Willcocks for the occasion in Henry Wood Hall in July. Don has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is organising the recording to raise funds for four charities associated with cancer.

- Royal commission for Bob Chilcott

Bob Chilcott has been commissioned to write a new choral work for the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The new anthem will be performed in Westminster Abbey on 4th June.

- New events for spring
- The Government announced a new four-stage roadmap on 22 February to lift the current restrictions in England. We await detailed information on the performing arts, but you can find the key points so far on our Government guidelines page. As the lockdown slowly eases, we've plenty of spring activity for all choral leaders to enjoy.

- Following the announcement of new national lockdowns, Stay at Home guidance has been issued and supersedes all other guidance. Revised performing arts guidance was published on 6 January and this and other guidance has been updated on our pages to reflect this.
