The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain are holding 12 days of auditions at 14 locations nationwide from 31 October to 29 November. They are looking forward to welcoming talented new members of ages 9-22 to the following choirs:

Audition venue information is supplied to candidates once their audition is confirmed. They are typically central musical venues or higher education facilities which are easily accessible by public and private transport.

How to apply

Apply for audition through the NYCGB website by clicking here.

Follow the instructions to create a user profile and select and pay for an audition slot. You'll need a headshot image to complete the process.

Auditions are allocated on a first come first served basis. NYCGB will always do its best to ensure auditions for all candidates.

Cost & financial support

An NYCGB audition costs £35. Financial assistance is available to cover the costs of auditions and travel. For further information, click here.

Webinar, member networking and online conducting course this weekend!
We've a busy abcd weekend coming up, with the first of our new member networking sessions on Friday at 5pm, closely followed by our regular Saturday morning webinar at 11am on 10 April. New events for spring
The Government announced a new four-stage roadmap on 22 February to lift the current restrictions in England. We await detailed information on the performing arts, but you can find the key points so far on our Government guidelines page. As the lockdown slowly eases, we've plenty of spring activity for all choral leaders to enjoy.

New lockdown but online events and resources to look forward to
Following the announcement of new national lockdowns, Stay at Home guidance has been issued and supersedes all other guidance. Revised performing arts guidance was published on 6 January and this and other guidance has been updated on our pages to reflect this. Whilst restrictions continue, why not grab your coffee and join us for one of our weekend webinars, a singing workshop or even an online training day?

Revised performing arts guidance for England published
Following the publication of the Government's COVID-19 Winter Plan for England, guidance has been published for carol singing and revised guidance for the performing arts.
